How do you know who to choose for your web hosting needs?
You see advertisements all over the internet for "webhosting
$9.99 per month" or "Webhosting $19.99 per month unlimited
domains". There are advertisements all over the internet
telling you that there service is better than there
competitors. So how do you know which one is the best, for
your needs.
When I first got interested in creating websites I began
researching all the different webhosting services out there
and found that I didn't know what I was looking for. Some
sites offered free domain, others offered 2 months free,
there were services where I could pay monthly and sevices
where everything has to be paid up front for a full year.
Some webhosting services would build the website for you,
while others would offer a website building software.
I decided to jump right in and signed up with bluehost, for
my webhosting service I had to pay up front for the year
and the cost was about $150.00 for the full year and they
gave me a free domain name registration. This seemed like a
pretty reasonable price and was compareable to the other
hosting services out there. I was able to import my site
directly on to my new webpage and I was up and running.
I felt that the service was great my site was up in no time
and throughout my entire time with them the server was up,
I would say 99.9% of the time which is what all the other
service providers were promising.
I recently started another web site and decided to try out
earthlink it is a little more every month, and I pay my
bill on a monthly basis. They have a website building
software which i did take advantage of and built my own
website the software was easy to use. Even someone with no
prior use of any web building software could use this.
I have had many website over the past 5 years and the one
thing that I have found out is that it DOESN'T MATTER which
web-hosting company you go with they are all pretty much the
same. The only thing you want to make sure of is that you
get a free domain and a free web building package. Also you
should not have to pay more than $19.95 per month, unless
you plan on starting a multi-million dollar company right
off the bat, you can always upgrade at a later time.
Other than that they are all the same.
